Academically trained and professionally placed as an elementary schoolteacher, Heather and I started working together in 2009.

To the casual observer, being a schoolteacher may give off the appearance of an ideal job, (and for many, it may be), Heather needed more in her
life than just the predictable paycheck.

To add to her angst, she couldn’t quite understand why some of her peers found meaning and fulfillment in the classroom setting while she found frustration and exhaustion.

With the birth of her daughter, she came to the realization that something needed to shift in her life and that she could no longer continue on the same career path.

In this dynamic interview with Heather, she talks about her passions, her struggles, and most importantly, her triumphs.

Here are some of the questions discussed during the show:

1. What was it like to be in a career that was not aligned with your personality, strengths, and passions?

2.How did you find your purpose and calling?

3. How did you gather the courage to take the first steps?
