Dan and Joel, thank you so much for sharing this conversation with us! What a blessing!
How interesting (and surprising) to listen to the experience of Dan’s own father. It is shocking that he served in such a noble role and yet did not follow an authentic calling. Rather, even in the shoes of a minister, he simply did what others expected. Dan made excellent points about creating our own expectations rather than fulfilling the expectations of others. It is encouraging to know that it is not unusual to cause a stir when doing so, as it did so even in his own life. creating our own expectations rather than fulfilling the expectations of others. I particularly enjoyed listening to how Dan came to peace with charging for services that involve using God-given gifts. So helpful, as this is very difficult for many of us! But, as Dan and Joel expressed, people do value our services and view us as professionals when we set fees. Also, charging for services does not preclude us from performing ministry work. As with much in life, peace and fulfillment come in creating balance and harmony.

As much as I respected Dan before listening, I respect and admire him all the more. He is humble, God-loving and an inspiration for all of us. As you said well, Joel, he is an “all-around rock star.” And, Joel, thank you for hosting another excellent interview!

      Hi Caroline,

Thank you for listening to the show and for your kind words. Dan and Joanne have been dear friends to us.

When you get the opportunity, you must attend one of the live events at the Sanctuary. You will be amazed at what you learn about business, the Millers, and even of yourself.

Great interview as usual!  Creating our own expectations has landed my husband and I in the middle of family drama more times than I can count…..but we are getting more traction and more results than anyone we know!

We are so excited for you and your family.
