For her, there were two life-changing events that caused immediate refocusing of perspective and realignment of priorities:
1.) the birth of her second child and
2.) the unexpected, tragic loss of a young brother.
From the first event, she learned she needed to be more available for her children.;
from the second, that family must come first.
And, while it’s still a little of a struggle for her to see past the urgent and quick, with each passing day, she’s realizing, more and more, that which has “eternal impact” is most important.
Nicole from Kentucky, joins us for her first appearance on Finding Your Voice.
She shares:
- how her life felt “out of balance”;
- the pieces of herself, which she was leaving behind, as she continued to pour herself into work that drained her;
- a pivotal point and an empowering exercise in the life and career planning process and
- the value she plans to bring with the focus of what she is now positioning herself to do.
Reflect and share your thoughts: What’s happened in the last three to five years that caused you to reevaluate what’s most important to you?
