While the majority of the working world remained sleeping, the all to familiar “clang-clang-clang” of the alarm clock brought with it a reminder that it was, once again, time for a repeat of the previous days motions.

As a single mom, she did what she had to do to put food on the table and a roof over the heads of herself & her son.

As a woman driven by a solid work ethic and an unwavering desire to achieve, at one point, she found herself logging 100 hours a week at her job.

By the time she had worked herself into the hospital and the ICU, she realized that the path she was following was leading her away from what mattered most.

From the moment Kathleen made the decision to get started with the coaching (we are about a third of the way through) she knew that for best results, she had to throw her whole heart into the process. And that is exactly what she did.

Her own words – “I need to do something that means something.”

Kathleen shares:

Her long-time struggle of trying to become someone that she is not;
the realization that she was not setting a good example for her son and
the clarity she found in putting together a personal mission statement (coaching resources).

Share your thoughts: One of the tipping points in Kathleen’s life was a trip to the ICU and a diagnosis of pneumonia.

    What an inspiring message, Kathleen! I truly enjoyed listening to your interview. Your speaking to the example we set for our children particularly resonated with me.  To follow a calling – or to not follow – speaks volumes to our young ones. I look forward to hearing more as you continue your exciting journey!

      Thanks so much, Caroline! It’s been a long, hard slog through a great deal of mental sludge, that’s for sure, and I finally feel as though I’m starting to understand what it is I need to do. Joel has been a tremendous help, as have all the folks I’ve talked to here on the 48 Days site.
      I appreciate your encouragement and support.
