Another very informative and enjoyable show. I find these shows to be worth a second listen. Food is such an important part of our life and I want to make sure I not only allow the knowledge you two are providing to soak into my skull, but to also repeat it to others.

I have gone back and forth on my understanding of protein.  I went for a months with eating almost no meat mainly do to the fact I have many vegetarian/vegan friends and wanted to try it.  I did not notice a difference physically,

Christopher – how kind of you to not only listen but to share these messages with others!  It’s so interesting and kind of ironic that you mention eliminating meat to see how a vegetarian/vegan diet would affect you. My son, Christopher, watched a documentary recently and decided to go meatless for a month and see how his body responds.  So far, he is feeling just fine also.

We don’t have time to cover everything in these podcasts, nor do we even imagine we know it all.  No one on earth does!  However everyone of us is so uniquely created and we each have a different metabolic type.  Some do best on protein and actually feel weak and tired when they don’t have it.  Others feel best when focusing their diets on carbs – and when they don’t they feel tired and bloated.  then there are those like me who are mixed types and can eat both and actually thrive on balancing both.

For me personally, I found that eating a more vegetarian diet that had served me well most of my life no longer did at a certain stage of my life.  I began to gain weight and feel exhhausted.  It’s always best to listen to your body not what any one “expert says alone!  We are endeavoring to provide good, solid information so you can make the best decisions for your own health.

Ah, Ann…thank you for mentioning to Christopher to listen to our bodies!  I really needed to hear that.

There is so much information out there and it can get so confusing!

I have to say….the part about the processed meat blew me away this time!!

Thank you for giving us information in an easy to understand way!!

Christopher – I always suggest not eating past 7 pm because you need to digest before you go to sleep as your organs and primarily your liver are renewed and regenerated during those hours and if your body is expending all its energy to digest a late meal it is hindered from doing all those renewing activities.
